Kabana Pte Ltd (“Kabana”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a subsidiary of Revenue Scaler. We are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information about you when you use our services at usekabana.com.

By accessing or using Kabana, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and contact details.

Shop and commerce data: When you connect your ecommerce store (Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and others), we access sales data, order history, product listings, traffic metrics, and advertising data as authorised by you through those platforms' APIs. This data belongs to you; we process it on your instruction.

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and device and browser information.

Payment information: Billing and payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Communications: If you contact us, we retain those messages to assist you and improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases: (a) performance of a contract — to provide the Services you subscribed to, including account management and billing; (b) consent — for marketing communications, analytics cookies, and for connecting third-party platform APIs; (c) legitimate interests — for product analytics, security monitoring, and fraud prevention, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and (d) compliance with legal obligations — to meet applicable regulatory requirements.

Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Kabana platform
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Process payments and send billing communications
  • Send product updates, feature announcements, and promotional emails (you may opt out at any time)
  • Analyse usage patterns and improve user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions
  • Respond to your support inquiries

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

  • Revenue Scaler (parent company): Kabana is a subsidiary of Revenue Scaler. Revenue Scaler may access aggregated, anonymised platform data for group reporting purposes under a formal data agreement. Your personal data will not be shared with Revenue Scaler for its own independent commercial purposes without your consent.
  • Service providers: Vercel (hosting), PostHog (product analytics, with your cookie consent), Stripe (payments), and email delivery providers — each bound by confidentiality and data processing obligations.
  • Third-party platform APIs: When you connect your store, we access your store data from Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and other platforms through their APIs, acting on your instruction and within the permissions you have granted on those platforms. We do not share your personal data back to these platforms except as technically required to maintain the connection.
  • Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order, or government request.
  • Business transfers: In the event of any further acquisition, sale of assets, or corporate restructuring involving Kabana beyond the existing Revenue Scaler relationship, your data may be transferred to a successor entity. We will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance of any such transfer.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure located in Singapore. We do not routinely transfer your personal data outside Singapore. In the limited circumstances where a third-party sub-processor operates outside Singapore, we ensure compliance with Part IX of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) by entering into binding data transfer agreements that impose comparable protections.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Kabana is ISO 27001 certified. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; while we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Free Account users: we do not guarantee data backups or recovery — refer to our Free Account Service Agreement for details, including the data export window if Kabana initiates termination.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to operate the site (session management, security). We also use optional analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how you use Kabana and improve the product.

When you first visit Kabana, we will ask for your consent to place non-essential analytics cookies. You may accept or reject these via the cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or adjusting your browser cookie settings. Rejecting analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the service.

7. Your Rights

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Withdraw consent to data processing where consent is the lawful basis
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Request that we transmit your personal data to another organisation in a commonly used, machine-readable format where technically feasible (data portability right under Part VIA of the PDPA)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at www.pdpc.gov.sg if you believe we have breached the PDPA

8. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

Kabana is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of all changes by email and by posting a notice on our platform at least 14 days before they take effect.

For changes that involve a new purpose for processing your personal data, or that materially reduce your privacy rights, we will seek your affirmative consent before the change takes effect. If you do not consent to a material change, you may request deletion of your account and data before the change takes effect.
